Password Script
This script is good if you need a username/password combo for your website or stories and your host doesn't provide or allow for it within the site builder tools. You only need to ability to embed code in your site.

You can set the username and password to whatever you want, then include the destination file. Note: If you are password protecting a story, you need to create some type of title page you direct your site visitors to that will require the password to get through. So, for instance, if my story is Trixie Loves Turnips, I can hide that page in my navigation and only link to the password page that I could call Stop! Go No Further Without the Magic Words!
This is not the most secure code out there, but it will suffice as long as you do the following:
1. Hide your actual story page from your site menu/navigation.
2. Do not give your destination file an easy name to figure out.
3. Use your advanced settings to hide your destination files from search engines.

Try it out here. For testing purposes, the userid is: myuserid and the password is: mypassword.

If you are a little more comfortable with coding, you can change the appearance (such as the colors of the borders) to anything you like.
